At Career Compass, we strive to provide high-quality career guidance resources, courses, and services. We understand that circumstances may arise where you need to request a refund. This Refund Policy outlines our guidelines for refunds and cancellations of our various products and services.
Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase. By purchasing our products or services, you agree to the terms of this Refund Policy.
1. Digital Products and Online Courses
1.1 Refund Eligibility for Digital Products
For digital products (e-books, templates, toolkits, and other downloadable materials):
- We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase.
- To be eligible for a refund, you must provide a valid reason for your dissatisfaction with the product.
- Refund requests submitted after the 14-day period will not be accepted.
1.2 Refund Eligibility for Online Courses
For self-paced online courses:
- We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee from the date of purchase.
- To be eligible for a refund, you must have completed less than 30% of the course content.
- You must provide specific feedback about why the course did not meet your expectations.
- Refund requests submitted after the 30-day period will not be accepted.
For cohort-based or live online courses:
- Full refunds are available up to 7 days before the course start date.
- 50% refunds are available 2-7 days before the course start date.
- No refunds are available less than 48 hours before the course start date or after the course has begun.
- In exceptional circumstances, we may offer course credit or the option to transfer to a future cohort instead of a refund.
2. Coaching and Consultation Services
2.1 Cancellation Policy for One-on-One Services
For career coaching, resume review, interview preparation, and other one-on-one services:

2.2 Package Services
For coaching or consultation packages (multiple sessions purchased together):
- If you've completed no sessions, a full refund minus a £50 administrative fee is available within 14 days of purchase.
- If you've completed some sessions, we will deduct the retail value of the used sessions (calculated at the non-package rate) and refund the remainder minus a £50 administrative fee.
- No refunds are available for packages after 30 days from the date of purchase or if more than 50% of the sessions have been used, whichever comes first.
- Package sessions must be used within 6 months of purchase unless otherwise specified.
3. Workshops and Events
3.1 Virtual Workshops and Webinars
For virtual workshops, webinars, and online events:
- Full refunds are available up to 7 days before the event.
- 50% refunds are available 3-7 days before the event.
- No refunds are available less than 72 hours before the event.
- If you cannot attend, you may transfer your registration to another person at no additional cost by notifying us at least 24 hours in advance.
- All registered participants will receive access to the event recording when available, even if they cannot attend live.
3.2 In-Person Workshops and Events
For in-person workshops, seminars, and networking events:
- Full refunds are available up to 14 days before the event.
- 50% refunds are available 7-14 days before the event.
- No refunds are available less than 7 days before the event.
- You may transfer your registration to another person at no additional cost by notifying us at least 48 hours in advance.
Note on Event Cancellations: If Career Compass cancels an event, all registrants will receive a full refund or the option to transfer their registration to a future event.
4. Subscription Services
4.1 Career Resource Library and Membership
For our subscription-based services:
- We do not provide refunds for subscription payments that have already been processed.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting customer support.
- When you cancel, you will retain access to the subscription benefits until the end of your current billing period.
- No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of your subscription period.
4.2 Trial Periods
If a free trial period is offered:
- You will not be charged during the trial period.
- If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, you will be automatically charged for the subscription.
- It is your responsibility to cancel before the trial period ends if you do not wish to continue with the paid subscription.
5. Custom Services and Enterprise Solutions
For bespoke career development programs, corporate training, or other custom services:
- Refund terms will be outlined in the specific service agreement or contract.
- Generally, custom services require a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking.
- Cancellation fees and timelines will be specified in your contract.
6. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please:
- Email [email protected] with the subject line "Refund Request"
- Include your order number, purchase date, and the product or service for which you're requesting a refund
- Provide a detailed explanation of why you're requesting a refund
- Submit your request within the eligible timeframe as outlined in this policy
Our support team will review your request and respond within 3-5 business days. If your refund is approved, it will be processed back to the original payment method. Depending on your payment provider, it may take 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account.
7. Exceptions and Special Circumstances
We understand that exceptional circumstances may arise. In cases of serious illness, family emergency, or other extenuating circumstances, we may consider refund requests outside of our standard policy on a case-by-case basis. Documentation may be required to support such requests.
Career Compass reserves the right to refuse refunds in cases where we suspect abuse, fraud, or violations of our Terms and Conditions.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
The refund policy in effect at the time of your purchase will apply to your transaction.
